Framing
There are two different types of framing, custom and standard. The former is expensive and the latter much more affordable. Standard frames (or Ready-made frames) are all made in certain sizes.
Most artworks can be framed in standard sized frames. In the case that artworks are made in irregular sizes, they can still be put into standard sized frames by being put into standard sized mats first.
Standard sized mats can have custom sized "window opening" which fit artworks of different sizes. Based on (western) tradition, any artworks that are done on soft surfaces (such as drawings, or paintings on canvas papers) should not be put in frames directly. Mats should be put in between artworks and frames.
